- I'll tell you what's most likely to be wrong there mate, the
- tape head is out of alignment ! It's a major pain in the anus that
- will affect us all at some point. Just below the tape carrier,
- there should be a small hole, under there is a small Posidrive
- screw which adjusts how up or down the tape head is. What to do is
- get a few tapes together, and screw the screw all the way down
- (This can only be done with the tape deck in 'Play' mode.) adjust
- the screw UP (Turn the screwdriver in the opposite direction.) in
- tiny increments trying each tape until they all load just fine.
-
- After that, you may find that the alignmennt starts to
- slip again, there are three cures for that:
-
-
- EPOXY the adjusted screw down.
-
- Continually adjust ! (And get a sore arm !)
-
- Buy a new casstette deck.
-
-
- Choice is yours mate !
-
-
- Cheers !
